Westlake, also known as West Lake Hills, is a scenic suburban neighborhood located within 10 minutes of Downtown Austin. Westlake is bounded by the MoPac Expressway to the east and Highway 71 to the west, while Barton Creek and the Colorado River form its northern and southern boundaries. Things To Do

Lake Austin is a man-made reservoir on the Colorado River. With a surface area of nearly 1,600 acres, Lake Austin is a popular place for sport fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, and other water-based activities. Austin Country Club has provided the community with sophisticated recreation space since 1899. In 1984, the club moved to its current location, with a spectacular Pete Dye-designed golf course on the south bank of the Colorado River. Austin Country Club hosts the PGA Tour’s World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. One of the four major world golf championships, the PGA Dell Match Play is the only major tournament to be held using a match play format.

Westlake is served by the Eanes Independent Public School District, which is ranked among the top five districts in Texas. The district’s test performances fall within the top 0.5% statewide.
